Since 1969, John Isara has been drawing caricatures.  As "Jon", for 42 years, his business Royal Hawaiian Caricatures has drawn thousands of people in Hawaii and worldwide.

  He mentored under Tom "Huf" Hofstedt aka "The World's Fastest Pen" in Waikiki at the International Market Place until 1983.

  He then took over the business after Huf relocated to Tacoma, Washington and moved the caricature kiosk across Kalakaua Avenue to the Royal Hawaiian Center until 2007.

  He and his staff of artists now are currently drawing at countless private parties, events, promotions, fairs...all occasions.
